!div style="display:none"!fjrigjwwe9r2content:tip!/div!!div style="display:none"!edf40wrjww2content:tip!/div!Sure, you can use .jpg files for texturing without having Strata crash (although some people crash with .jpgs frequently), but the image quality is degraded quite a bit in .jpg format which is designed specifically for web use.

Use the .pict format when saving texture/image maps in your image editing program and you should have no stability problems and you'll be using the highest quality image you can.
