!div style="display:none"!edf40wrjww2gallery:imagedesc!/div!Since I got S3D Pro I've wanted to try out the hair plugin to see what I could do with this old teddy bear model. The results are, ok. Not stellar though. An old trick to getting realistic fur is to create several layers of hair. The top layers consist of long, thin, light-colored hairs, and the bottom layers of hairs that are thicker and darker. To get this effect, I used four different styles of hair on the teddy bear model.
This rendering never completed entirely. I had to suspend it half way through because it was just taking way too long. It takes a pretty great amount of memory to complete a job like this, and I can tell ya that 256 Megs just ain't enough. :-)
