!div style="display:none"!fjrigjwwe9r2gallery:imagedesc!/div!Previously we have been showing settings guides and grids based upon the elements of the object being edited.
Here I show it is just as easy to set a guide based upon another object.
My first move is to move the face around with a default grid constraint: the face is moving in a plane parallel to the plane of the active grid, the Y grid.
For my next move, I enable the default Y guide by pressing and releasing shift-C.
Finally, I set a guide along the edge of an object in my scene other than the object I am editing, and move the face according to that vector. My final moves are accomplished with the nudge keys rather than by dragging, which is more controlled for accuracy and repeatability.
