Let's say you have 2 spheres on in the frame during an animation, and you simply want one of the spheres to disappear. I'm accustomed to Flash, where one could either set the object's alpha to zero, or add an empty keyframe thereby eliminating that object as the animation continues.
There is a Life Attribute you can add to an object in Strata which controls its visibility in the scene. Select the object you want to have disappear then go to the Plus Menu in the Project Window's upper right corner and choose the command Add Attribute > Life Attribute. The Life Attribute will show up in the object's Object Properties entry in the Project Window. Set the Current Time Indicator, the blue diamond shape at the top of the timeline, to the time when you want the object to disappear and click off the Life checkbox. Turn it back on to make the object visible again.
